The city consists of five boroughs or districts: the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan and Staten Island. The Manhattan district is the one with the highest density, within which are located most of the city’s skyscrapers and the famous Central Park. It is the financial centre of the city, and contains the headquarters of many large companies, as well as the headquarters of the United Nations. Major universities and the larger cultural attractions, such as museums, the theatres of Broadway, Greenwich Village and the famous Madison Square Garden are also located here. Manhattan is divided by Central Park into the Upper East Side and Upper West Side and north of the park from Harlem.

The opportunities are endless. No other city can be explored so easily. Its famous metro is in 24-hour service and the constant movement of traffic and people make sure that New York is known as “the city that never sleeps.” Moreover, according to statistics of crime drawn up by the FBI, New York is the safest among the US metropolis.
