Among the most fascinating English destinations to visit, all well connected with the capital, we have included not only two of the most famous cities in Oxford and Brighton, but also equally interesting but smaller locations such as Worthing, Winchester, Horsham, Egham, Guildford and Ascot.

Oxford is the home of the eponymous University, one of the oldest and most famous in the world. The Oxford architectural heritage includes many buildings of great historical and artistic interest, such as the churches of St. Michael and St. Mary, the Bodleian Library and the circular Sheldonian Theatre.

Brighton is one of the most famous seaside resorts on the south coast of England. The city offers many alternatives: long beaches, parks and gardens, museums, galleries, the famous “Lanes” and numerous shopping centres. Don’t miss the symbol of the city, the “Royal Pavilion”, a beautiful building in the oriental style, built in the eighteenth century under King George IV, and now a very important museum.

Worthing (West Sussex) is a typical town in southern England, a stone’s throw from the sea and known as one of the hottest towns in England. It is characterized by its tranquil, safe and residential atmosphere.

Winchester (Hampshire), ancient capital of England, is famous for its beautiful and impressive cathedral and the legendary King Arthur’s Round Table. Today it is a typical English town, an hour or two from London and located near attractions such as Stonehenge, Portsmouth, Bath and Oxford. Winchester has many facilities from theatres to cinemas, from sports centres to many pubs and clubs.

Equally fascinating from a historical-cultural and landscape perspective are the cities of  Horsham (West Sussex), Egham (Surrey), Guildford (Surrey) and Ascot (Berkshire), with a gorgeous university campus, crafts market and Medieval and Gothic buildings.
